Johnstone - Thorn Primary

Thorn Primary a school that has had a positive influence on many children. It's no longer there it got moved across the road and is now a ultra modern school doing the same job as it has always done. Thanks for your help in piecing information about the school

 This is the School in the 30's (can be sure the person who gave me the photo couldn't be sure, but there are tram lines so we can't be to far out. The thing to note between this one and Kenny's photo is the trees at the front and lamp lights are replaced by street lights

While clearing out I have found two photographs of the old Thorn Primary School, which I thought you might like to include on the site. They were taken in 1984 when I was a pupil at the Thorn.

Kenny, I can't thank you enough - since it was demolished there seems to be a lack of photos about this school, which, by reading the many emails we get, positively effected many a mother, father, gran and gramps out there!

I'll take a photo from the same locations for comparisons asap!
