Johnstone's - Photo History

Not much change here then, I'm being sarcastic here - wow is the word!

With the level of change here I wonder what will happen at the turn of the next century. I doubt that I will be about for that.

Nearly every building in the square has changed. Now-a-days the "tower" dominates the landscape but two things have remained the same, the Bandstand and it's still the busiest part of the town.

The level of traffic now would make the children in the top photo run for cover, but in those days the horse and cart and the tram was the main means of travel.
