Johnstone's - Photo History

After the first World War the square was landscaped with flowers and grass, what spooks me is that I remember it like this!

The houses and shops to the far side of the older picture have completely changed and we have lost the flag pole seen at the top right hand side of the older photo. The tram lines seem to be away in this older photo and the Pavilion Theatre can be seen next to the band stand.
